Top 10 UK Adventures
…through the eyes of one furry traveler
Friends, tell me – what’s the first thing you think of when someone says United Kingdom? For me, it’s probably the royal family, corgis, London, and Harry Potter.
Here are 10 adventures that will stay in my snout forever!
1. Cornwall & the beaches
“Running on the sand, wind in my whiskers, and waves sometimes taller than me.”
Cornwall is a total doggy paradise – sandy beaches, rolling waves, and endless space for zoomies. I ran leash-free (legally, I promise!) and rolled in the sand like the happiest pup alive. Many beaches are dog-friendly all year round – just check the signs. The ones that aren’t will be clearly marked. And the best part? On one beach I even found my own private spa spot.
📍 Kyon’s Tip: If you follow the SW Coast Path from Pendeen Lighthouse along the cliffs, you’ll reach a stunning beach with my private wellness corner (yep, the one from the photo).

2. Cape Cornwall – a truly magical place
“It felt like sniffing the very edge of the world. And wanting to build my doghouse right there.”
Cape Cornwall completely charmed me. The silence, the wind, the cliffs, and the wild ocean – it’s the perfect spot for some deep doggy thoughts (or just sitting with my eyes half closed, soaking it all in). I felt free and at peace.
📍 Kyon’s Tip: There’s a lovely little café right by the parking lot where even lactose-free humans (like my mom) can enjoy a great cup of coffee.
Parking has a small fee – heads up, you can’t pay by card there. But don’t worry, the café takes cards just fine, and yes, it also has nice restrooms for your humans.
3. Wrexham
As proper fans of the Welcome to Wrexham series, we just had to sniff around Wrexham itself. Right next to the stadium you’ll find The Turf.
Did you know The Turf – the most famous pub by the stadium – is dog-friendly? I even got my own water bowl and felt like a total celebrity pup.
In the fan shop I picked out a new buddy: a plush dragon and a teddy bear. And yep, I got showered with love and head scratches there too.
📍 Kyon’s Tip: Don’t miss The Turf pub with your four-legged sidekick—it’s a must-stop!
4. Blists Hill – sniffing out history
“Suddenly I found myself in Victorian Britain. And nobody there even knew about my Instagram!”
This place is like stepping straight into a time machine. Wooden houses, old-fashioned shops, people in costumes – and yes, dogs are welcome! I sniffed old coins, admired a massive historic waterwheel, and tried really hard not to spook the locals.
📍 Kyon’s Tip: Blists Hill Victorian Town is super dog-friendly, just watch out for the loud noises from the workshops.

5. Ellesmere – The Boathouse
“Dog-friendly? Nope—Dog-First!”
This place topped them all. I had my very own seat, fresh water, a treat, and super smiley waiters who kept giving me pets. The vibe here was just unbeatable. We came for breakfast, and honestly, almost every human had their pup with them.
📍 Kyon’s Tip: Check out The Boathouse Ellesmere – I totally recommend it to every furry traveler and their humans! Right next to it is a lake where you can cool off if you’re into swimming.
6. Salisbury and its majestic cathedral
“I had no idea buildings could be that tall. I nearly twisted my neck looking up!”
Salisbury is a peaceful and beautiful city with a truly magnificent cathedral. And yes – they let you inside even if you’ve got fur and walk on four paws. Right in front of the cathedral there’s a gorgeous park, perfect for a calm stroll.
I also met plenty of new doggy friends – and honestly, every other human passing by complimented me. (But hey, you already know I’m handsome.)
📍 Kyon’s Tip: Salisbury Cathedral is dog-friendly!
7. Dover and the castle
“Castle? Yes. View? WOW. Wind? Seriously strong.”
Dogs are welcome in the outdoor areas of the castle – so I got to pretend I was guarding the place. I chased the wind and soaked in the epic views of the English Channel.
Best discovery? The local café serves ice cream for both pups and humans. Delicious doesn’t even begin to cover it.
📍 Kyon’s Tip: Dover Castle is perfect for a long walk with unforgettable views.
8. Durdle Door – fog straight out of Harry Potter
“I could hardly see a thing. And that’s exactly what made it so magical.”
The fog almost completely covered the iconic arch, but the smell of the sea and the strange silence made the moment unforgettable. Lucka laughed, saying it looked like a movie scene. And me? I acted like I was the main character.
📍 Kyon’s Tip: The view from the top is worth it in any weather! Just be ready—the parking lot gets super crowded.
9. Windsor a Eton – a state visit and waving to the Royal family
“The royal family rode by in a carriage, and I wagged my tail. Pretty sure we understood each other.”
During our visit, President Macron happened to be in Windsor for a state visit – so I found myself right at the royal parade! Lucka was emotional, and me? I was just curious if I’d spot any royal corgis.
📍 Kyon’s Tip: Windsor Great Park is huge and perfect for long walks. And right under the castle, there’s even an ice cream shop for us furry friends.
10. Chester and Its two-story shops
“Two floors? That’s a lot of corners to sniff!”
Chester is a charming little city with ancient architecture and beautiful shops. I strutted along the walkways of The Rows like a proper gentleman pup – Lucka took the upper floor, while I kept my nose busy down below.
And guess what? Even Chester Cathedral is dog-friendly!
📍 Kyon’s Tip: Many local shops and cafés welcome dogs—including the cathedral itself.
The United Kingdom is truly special for pups. People are kind, cafés and shops open their doors to paws, and nature feels downright magical.
If you’re planning a trip with your human, definitely put this place on your list. You might not meet the King – but you’ll find smiles, belly rubs, and new scents waiting around every corner.
